As the outside world encroaches on our values, thoughts, emotions, and life styles, it becomes more and more difficult to maintain a sanctuary of peace within. Nowhere is it more apparent these days than in the area of finances. It’s all we’re hearing or reading: ” the market tumbles”, “deep recession”, “bail-out”. This has a lot of folks wondering if they might lose their house, job, savings, or lifestyle. It’s important to remember that the power of your positive thoughts and vision will be the driver of your prosperity. Fear and panic delay chances for recovery. You are the key to keeping the avenues to abundance clear and flowing. You can help restore confidence in the future.

While we’re at it, let’s put this word ’crisis’ into perspective. There’s no question that there’s upheaval in the world’s monetary system. Much will be re-evaluated and changes will have to be made. But, if you’re in my age range you might remember the ‘duck-and-cover’ drills accompanied by what were called air-raid sirens. Buildings were marked with yellow and black signs to alert citizens as to where they could go for ’shelter’. Radios told us we could stay tuned for more information. All of this to protect us from an attack from a people who lived farther away in miles than many of us would ever travel. An entire generation of kids grew into adolescence and then some with the constant thought that they could be annihilated during a nuclear exchange that could be upon them in the space of 15 minutes. Crisis indeed!

This threat of imminent demise cooled over the years. Talk of financial armageddon will move off the front pages as well. And there are ways you can be pro-active in guiding your family, yourself, and the rest of the planet in realizing balance and abundance. I looked around and found these:

1. Live the idea of prosperity at home and at work. Keep clear of thoughts of competition, which separates you from the source of all wealth and moves you toward lack.

2. Steer clear of the fear in the financial markets. Wall Street has always had swings of fear and greed. Keep your energy focused on economic recovery- yours and the rest of the world’s.

3. Act from a place of trust. Show your fellow workers, friends and family members that you have faith in the Universe and the ability to create a better life, country, and world.

4. Get the Law of Attraction on your side. Be in that place of high vibration, with upbeat focus, actions and values.

5. See the world as accommodating you. Einstein said said that we must decide whether we live in a hostile or a friendly world. Chose to expand your possibilities rather than shrink them.

6. Hold your leaders to the same high standards you are following. Support those who take positive action for change.

7. Know that optimism is a choice.

8. Hold to the vision of abundance. Use it to create your personal and professional blueprint for success.

9. Use affirmations. Something as simple as: “I am sending positive energy into the world” can help put a foundation under your vision.

10. Operate out of a state of gratitude. Be thankful for your family, your friends, your abilities- look around and you’ll likely find more reasons. And, show the gratitude, don’t just feel it.

You can look at money a couple of ways. A poverty consciousness will keep you stuck in fear, greed, negative energy, and the feeling of being a victim with no responsibility for your life. Choose instead to have a prosperity consciousness with a positive attitude, trust in the Universe, and always coming from a place of love.
